Peliculização (Film Coating)
Seed coating polymers
PolySeed coating polymers and ColorSeed seed coatings are also commonly referred to as film coatings.
Film coating are obtained by applying a thin layer of a specific moisture-permeable polymer on bare, encrusted or pelleted seeds.
Seed coating polymers are available in two types: colorless films or colored films. Colored films, in standard or customized colors, can have different finishes, such as solid, glossy, pearlescent or metalized.
Colored films are used as an identifier, differentiating seeds treated in various ways. In addition, colored films can also be used as the main method of protecting and differentiating grain seeds.
The application of polymers in high-performance equipment enables:
An attractive product.
Precise uniform distribution of chemicals on the seed providing productivity gains, while facilitating flow in seeders.
PolySeed (with colorless film) and ColorSeed (with colored film) polymers have been used for a number of years on seeds for grains, vegetables, flowers, greens, tobacco and others, both in simple treatments as well as in encrusting and pelleting, with guaranteed performance and quality.
